Thin alloy stip is fabricated by melt pouring to the gap of rolls. Rolls are made of pure Cu, and melt pool is maintained by rolls, nozzles, and side dam. High hydrostatic pressure makes good contact of melt and roll, it leads rapid cooling.

Three roll casters are arenged virticaly. Thin strip, fabricated by 1st caster is introduced to the 2nd, 3rd caster, and 3 or 5 layers clad strip can be fabricated by single step. 6 rolls are water cooled, and rapid cooling can be conducted.

It is used to prepare the alloy melt for roll casting experiment. Maximum temperature is more than 900℃ and it can prepare more than 5kg melt at once. Argon gas is used for atmosphere replacement and degassing.
